Annamaria e Tommaso
I learned the art of the Venetian mask in one of the shops in the city to support my studies at university. Later in 2000 I opened my own workshop together with my husband Tommaso, who in the meantime left the position of Philosophy teacher to devote himself full time to working on masks. "From the beginning of our business we had a clear goal of preserving and publicising this artisan tradition of the mask we love so much. Our products are completely Made in Italy starting from the papier-mâché base to the ornamental trinkets. We feel like Venice is "our" city and we try to respect the urban fabric and intrinsic value by maintaining the profile of the old shop of the past, avoiding standardised modernity.
