In 1990 I started my personal journey to arrive at the production of handmade paper. It all started after working as assistant to the master paper maker at the International School of Graphics in Venice. I deepened my knowledge of the material and its structure, and was able to devote myself to researching the fibres and fixatives most suitable for my experiments, in order to create a paper suitable for all artistic uses. The result was a paper produced in pure cotton, worked on a loom exclusively by hand, that makes it possible to form sheets 'in tonso' (with irregular fringing), of various weights. Our paper does not play only a supporting role, but rather forms an essential part of the work itself.
