The master Maurizio has been active in Venice in the production of masks for over 25 years. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and took part in the restoration of the Gran Teatro la Fenice, carrying out all the decorations of the cavea. During his academic studies, he "discovered" the art of the Venetian papier-mâché mask and devoted himself passionately to the study of their work, gaining experience in the most famous shops in the city. Year after year, he seeks out his own personal style, fulfilling his desire to make art by distancing himself from pure commercialism. Maurizio says, "My relationship with Venice is very simple: without it I would never have existed as a mask maker. For this reason, I respect the city and I feel like it is part of my identity."
